Mwamba braced for Quins onslaught

NAIROBI, Kenya, January 21- Mwamba need to summon more than pace and guile if they are to secure a win against Kenya Harlequins on Saturday.

The Black Shirts fell to a narrow 32-29 loss to KCB last weekend in a frenetic encounter and can expect more of the same at the Rugby Football Union of East Africa (RFUEA) ground.

Quins will be keen to consolidate first place in the Kenya Cup standings with arch rivals Impala and KCB snapping at their coat tails.

Impala have a chance to make ground on their neighbours when Starthmore Leos come calling.

Mitch Ocholla’s side is going through a nightmare season that has yielded only two wins against six victories.

The match up has all the makings of a straight win for the gazelles but don’t expect the prestigious university to roll over.

Nondescripts leave the comforts of their Jamhuri Park lair as they head across the capital to the KCB Sports Club to take on the bankers.

Howard Okwemba’s side showed their mettle by holding off Mwamba last weekend and will be no pushovers at the ‘Lion’s Den.’
