Union to honor top rugby players

NAIROBI, Kenya 26 – After a seven year break the Kenya Rugby Union is set to honor top rugby performers this Friday at the Laico Regency.Innocent Simiyu leads the 15s Best Player of the Year list that includes Peter Abuoga and Daniel Kiptoo.

Humphrey Khayange is nominated for the Best 7s Player award with Felix Ayange and Lavin Asego.

For the best 7s team, Strathmore is nominated together with the Kenya Sevens team and Kenya Harlequins.

Celestine Navalayo, Sarah Otieno and Doreen Remour are in the running for the best Female Player award.

The union received a cash boost of 2.6 million shillings from various corporate companies which will be used to run the event for the more than 400 guest expect to grace the event.
