NAIROBI, Kenya, May 20 – Edward Kauka and Kevin Oliech have been called up to the Harambee Stars squad for Saturday’s African Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifier against Uganda.AFC Leopards goalkeeper Lawrence Webo will be competing with Samuel Odhiambo for a place between the sticks.
George Odhiambo will be keen to replicate his league form on the international front alongside Gor Mahia club mate Kevin Omondi.
Stars coach Twahir Muhiddin has picked a formidable defense unit made up of captain Julius Owino, Pascal Ochieng, Mulinge Ndeto and Joakins Atudo.
The team departs on Friday for Kampala where they hope to secure victory over Bobby Williams team putting them a step closer to next year’s tournament in Sudan who have already secured qualification.
Defending champions DR Congo, Ghana, Mali, Senegal, Niger, Cameroon and Ivory Coast have also secured their places.
