MIAMI, November 2 – Dwyane Wade topped 10,000 points for his National Basketball Association career Sunday as Miami beat Chicago 95-87.Wade, Miami’s all-time scoring leader and the NBA scoring champion last season, made a free throw with 1:32 left in the third quarter to reach the milestone.
He finished the game with 25 points to take his total to 10,005.
Wade is the 43rd active player to top the 10,000-point plateau.
Udonis Haslem had 19 points and 11 rebounds off the bench as the Heat remained unbeaten in the young NBA season.
Carlos Arroyo scored 12 points, Mario Chalmers chipped in 11 and Michael Beasley had 10 with 11 rebounds for the Heat.
Luol Deng scored 26 points for the Bulls, who had 17 points from John Salmons, 11 from Brad Miller and 10 from Joakim Noah.
Wade’s pass set up Haslem’s basket with 47.4 seconds to play as the Heat emerged with the victory after a fourth quarter that saw the lead change hands seven times.
Heat center Jermaine O’Neal broke his nose late in the fourth period as he battle for a rebound. He said he didn’t expect to miss any playing time.
