Eduardo banned for two matches

NYON, September 1- Arsenal striker Eduardo was on Tuesday suspended for two matches by European football's governing body UEFA for diving in a Champions League game against Celtic last month.EDUARDO_"The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body today examined the case of the Arsenal FC player Eduardo "for deceiving the referee" during the UEFA Champions League play-off second leg match on 26 August against Celtic FC, and has suspended the player for two UEFA club competition matches," read a statement on the UEFA website.

Croatia international Eduardo went to ground under a challenge from Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc in the first half of the match at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and scored the resulting penalty to put his side on course for a 3-1 victory.

Arsenal and Eduardo have three days to appeal against the decision.
