‘American Hustle’ won three awards out of seven nominations, including Best Supporting Actress (Musical or Comedy), which was handed to Jennifer Lawrence for her role as Rosalyn Rosenfeld in the film.

In her acceptance speech, she said: “I don’t know why it’s so terrifying it’s obviously a good thing. Thank you to my family and my team, thank you so much!”

The film, directed by David O Russell, also took home the award for Best Motion Picture (Comedy) and Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Amy Adams.

‘Dallas Buyer’s Club’ also picked up two awards, which went to Matthew McConaughy, who played an AIDS victim, and Jared Leto in the Best Actor (Drama) and Best Supporting Actor categories.

Jared said his role was very “transformative” and joked: “I did not ever use any prostethics in this film. That tiny little Brazilian bubble butt was all mine.”
