Mike O brings Glory in 2014 [Listen]

Mike O gloryGlory is the new single by Ugandan/Kenyan based gospel singer Mike-O. Written by Mike-O himself and produced by Zambian producer extraordinaire gEO at Soulchild Studios. The song is a foretaste of the artiste’s new and upcoming project. Glory the song is a submission to the mission of spreading God’s truth through music.

“Many times as gospel artistes our focus has shifted from spreading the word of God and discipling the nations to just making hits” says the artist.

Mike-O is out to do his part in changing the face of gospel music. A face that he believes is already being remolded by a new generation of artists that like him, that are no longer satisfied with staying only within the confines of the church but going out to influence the society. “Make the best music you can but don’t lose the focus”. Glory is an attempt at doing just that. Laced with a lot of pidgin English due to his Nigerian exposure and influence the song is rich not just in lyrical content but with excellent delivery and exquisite production.

What sets Mike-O apart is his commitment to spreading the word of love; changing, inspiring and motivating through the gift of his music especially to the youth whom he believes are grossly misguided largely through media and set on a path of self destruction. He believes that the truth we know will set us free and this he undoubtedly makes every effort to make known.

A Ugandan born in Japan, lived in Uganda, Nigeria and now a pastor a worship leader/pastor at Mavuno Church – Nairobi, Kenya. Mike-O is not only a singer but a man after God’s heart, a minister committed to his family and friends, and focused on what he believes is his true calling in life.
