These poetic Swahili words set the intro to Jose Chameleone’s new single “Mshamba”, which tells the story of a man who yearns for love from a woman that comes from a different background from him.
The star, currently in the middle of an Australian tour, is seen smiling and playing the guitar as he serenades his lady interest waxing lyrical on the special things he will do as he goes about winning her heart.
Shot and directed by Brazilian Director Jordan Hoechlin, the sensual yet minimalist style video, which is brilliantly edited, was released on 31 July has so far received critical acclaim from a cross section of the East African star’s fans who have praised him for releasing a timeless masterpiece with all the hallmarks of an instant classic.
The multiple award winning Chameleone employs a winning formula as he sings from his heart in flawless Swahili, the Lingua Franca in East and parts of Central Africa with the catchy tune immediately reaching into our hearts as he passionately communicates on love being the cure for all that afflicts us in today’s society.
