Provisional results project big upsets in gubernatorial race

NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 9 – Provisional results currently trickling in are projecting big upsets in the gubernatorial races with current big names being toppled.

In Nairobi, incumbent Evans Kidero has been shown dust by Mike Sonko, who has 719,624, votes against 576,578.

Ferdinand Waititu ‘Baba Yao’ is also sending incumbent William Kabogo home, having opened the gap with over 400,000 votes.

Other Governor’s losing are Jack Ranguma of Kisumu, who has been defeated by Anyang Nyong’o.

In Machakos, Wavinya Ndeti may have to keep saying, YALIYO NDWELE SI PITE after incumbent Alfred Mutua left her with more than 200,000 votes.

In Meru incumbent governor Peter Munya who has 151, 068 votes is losing ground to Kiraitu Murungi who is leading with 208,686.

In Kisumu, Anyang Nyong’o is leading with 242,914 votes against Jack Ranguma’s 136,595.

In the Women representative’s position, the incumbent within Nairobi Rachael Shebesh is trailing her competitor Esther Passaris at 597,534 votes against 740,544.
