NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 1 – The Ministry of Education has issued an alert on one Perminus Wainaina, a man it claims is impersonating the Head of ICT and running a data entry staff hiring ruse.
In a statement from Communications Officer Kennedy Buhere, the Ministry said it does not have any programme which necessitates recruitment of temporary staff.
“All data entry staff is required to report to work in uniform,” the letter of appointment to one of the “successful” applicants says in an obvious effort to authenticate the fraud to hoodwink unsuspecting members of the public.”
He stated that Wainaina, who designates himself as head of ICT, is asking for Sh2,000 for purchase of uniform.
