Uhuru visits retired President Moi at Nairobi residence

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 16 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has visited former President Daniel arap Moi at his Kabarnet Gardens residence in Nairobi.

State House released photos of the visit but did not provide details of the talks between the two.

The former President has remained out of the public lately and recently underwent a minor knee operation.

President Kenyatta’s political career is largely credited to the country’s second president who nominated him to Parliament, appointed him to the Cabinet and later chose him to succeed him.

The talks between the two lasted an hour according to sources at the meeting.

In attendance was Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, who is also KANU Chairman.
