He called on Kenyans to exercise their democratic rights and vote in a peaceful manner and resist any attempts by politicians to incite them to violence in spite of who wins.

“We must not allow one person, one leader, one politician or one political party to endanger our home called Kenya, violence can never be an option in any circumstances,” he emphasized.

The ceremony was attended by ten governors, six senators and more than 80 members of the National Assembly.

Several religious leaders led by Bishop Jackson Kosgei of the Worldwide Gospel Church of Kenya, also attended the thanks giving service.

Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Senate Speaker Ekwe Ethuro and National Assembly deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso were also present.
