KTN editor denies stealing colleague’s Sh2.8mn Mercedes Benz

A senior editor at Kenya Television Network has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle belonging to his colleague.
Aaron Ochieng was arraigned before Nairobi Chief Magistrate where he is accused of stealing a Mercedes Benz belonging to Joy Doreen Biira.
Ochieng was accused of stealing the Sh2.8 million car from Standard Groups offices on Mombasa Road on December 23rd last year.
He has denied the charges and has been released on a cash bail of Sh300,000.

NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 3 – A senior editor at Kenya Television Network has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle belonging to his colleague.

Aaron Ochieng was arraigned before Nairobi Chief Magistrate where he is accused of stealing a Mercedes Benz belonging to Joy Doreen Biira.

Ochieng was accused of stealing the Sh2.8 million car from Standard Groups offices on Mombasa Road on December 23rd last year.

He has denied the charges and has been released on a cash bail of Sh300,000 or a bond of Sh1million.

Seven people including Biira and three police officers have been lined up as witnesses.

The hearing of the criminal chargs against the journalist will commence on February 13 2017.
