NAKURU, Kenya, Nov 23 – The man who used a screwdriver to stab a magistrate and complainant in a Nakuru court on Tuesday on being sentenced to three years in jail for assault, on Wednesday pleaded guilty to attempted murder.
Michael Kahoro admitted to stabbing Resident Magistrate Eunice Kelly in the hand and stabbing Eunice Adhiambo who was the complainant in the assault case, six times: four times in the neck, once in the wrist and another in the thigh.
He also pleaded guilty to injuring Police Constable Wanjiru Ngugi but denied the lesser charges of obstructing the court clerk and magistrate from doing their work.
He was also charged with causing a disturbance.
The reading out of the facts related to the charges he pleaded guilty to is scheduled for Friday when hearing dates for the charges he denied will also be set.
