NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 29 – A South African firm has lost a case challenging the Sh2.5billion ballot printing tender which was filed against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

The petition filed by Paarl Media at the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board was dismissed on grounds that it did not meet the requirements set out by the electoral body to supply ballot papers.

The board has now been given the green light to proceed with the process of procuring the 130 million ballot papers from Al Ghurair printing firm of Dubai.

In dismissing the petition, the review board said the South African firm did not file sufficient supporting affidavit from its directors.
