NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 13 – The Employment and Labour Relations Court in Kisumu has reinstated Sister Sarah Adipo as the Principal of Ahero Girls High School.

This follows temporary orders obtained stopping her interdiction by her employer the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) until the case she has filed is heard and determined.

The school was closed indefinitely after students protested against the interdiction of their principal who is alleged to have embezzled funds.

This was the third interdiction of the Principal, after the Teachers Service Commission reversed two earlier interdictions.

One of the School Board of Management members Innocent Masara had criticized the closure of the school without the involvement of the Board members.

Masara stated that form four students were preparing to sit their national examinations and the closure would have adverse effects on their performance.

He called upon the county leadership to step in and address the crisis at the school.

Masara further called for the disbandment of the school board and bring in people who have education of the children at heart.
