NAIROBI, Kenya Oct 8 – Jackline Mwende who was allegedly bartered by her husband and even had her limbs chopped off has reason to smile after she was fitted with prosthetic limbs in South Korea.

The operation was fully funded by LG Electronics which had also catered for her treatment at the Kikuyu Hospital before she was flown out of the country.

Pictures of the 27-year-old Mwende smiling while learning to use her prosthetic limbs have been shared from Seoul in South Korea, with reports indicating that she is doing well.

It is understood that the prosthetics that operate under saction rechnology with maximum suspension were fitted on Friday. They are powered by electronic motors that use batteries.

She is expected back to the country on Sunday to continue with her normal life, after doctors certified that the prosthetic limbs can help her perform up to 80 per cent of tasks.

The attack occurred in late July at her marital home in Machakos.
