Pictures of the 27-year-old Mwende smiling while learning to use her prosthetic limbs have been shared from Seoul in South Korea, with reports indicating that she is doing well.
It is understood that the prosthetics that operate under saction rechnology with maximum suspension were fitted on Friday. They are powered by electronic motors that use batteries.
She is expected back to the country on Sunday to continue with her normal life, after doctors certified that the prosthetic limbs can help her perform up to 80 per cent of tasks.
Her husband is facing charges of the assault even though there were claims that he may not have been involved in the attack since he was away at the time.
The attack occurred in late July at her marital home in Machakos.
