NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 11 – President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to attend the burial of the late William ole Ntimama on Wednesday.

State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu in his weekly press briefing on Sunday said the burial is part of the President’s week long agenda.

The former Cabinet Minister aged 86 died at his rural home in Narok.

He is reported to have died peacefully in his sleep.

Among his last public appearances was at State House, Nairobi on August 9 when he led a group of Maasai leaders to join the Jubilee Party.

On Friday, the High Court denied a 60-year-old man’s to stop the burial.

The man wanted the burial stopped until a DNA test is conducted to prove that the politician sired him.

High Court Judge Joseph Onguto however declined to issue the sought for orders.

According to the judge, the orders sought by George Kariuki alias George Kariuki Ntimama were applied for, “late in the day.”

“Where have you been for the last 60 years? I believe that (DNA test) could have been done even a year ago.”

The judge would hear none of it even after Kariuki, through his advocate, insisted that he has a right to be recognised as Ntimama’s son.

The Ntimama family through lawyers Omwanza Ombati and Mark Ngatia pleaded with the court not to grant the orders sought as they would prejudice the ongoing burial arrangements.

In his suit papers, Kariuki claimed that Ntimama had acknowledged him and had promised to introduce him to his family.
