NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 27 – Transport on Magadi and Langata roads have been paralysed as students from Multimedia University block the roads protesting the death of a colleague during Sunday matatu accident.

The students have closed a section of Magadi Road and lit bonfires paralysing transport to and from Rongai.

Four passengers were killed in the accident while eight others are still admitted to hospital following the accident that involved a matatu from Ongata Line Sacco whose 100 buses were deregistered on Monday by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).

The National Transport and Safety Authority has directed police to impound any vehicle from the company until further notice.

Traffic Commandant Leonard Katana said the driver of the ill-fated matatu is still at large.
