Mombasa Central Police Station cordoned off as bomb squad secures the premises/CORRESPONDENT
MOMBASA, Kenya, Sep 11 — Three female terrorists have been shot dead after storming Mombasa Central Police Station.
Coast county commander Peterson Maelo says the women in Hijabs had pretended that they were reporting a stolen mobile phone when one of them stabbed two officers at the report office.
The third hurled a petrol bomb at the station, setting off a fire and prompting officers to open fire on them.
Maelo says all the three attackers have been killed while the two police officers have been rushed to hospital.
He has termed the incident an apparent terror attack.
