Turkey’s President Erdogan arrives in Kenya Wednesday

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 1 — President Recep Erdogan of Turkey was expected in the country on Wednesday afternoon and was to be received by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed.

President Kenyatta’s spokesperson Manoah Esipisu told Capital FM News that the official welcoming ceremony would however be held on Thursday.

Erdogan and President Kenyatta are expected to discuss security and refugee matters as both countries have been victims of terror attacks and grapple with the burden of displaced persons.

Meanwhile South Korea’s President Park Geun-hye left the country on Wednesday morning after holding trade talks with President Kenyatta.
