NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 30 – Briton Richard Alden was on Thursday released on a Sh2 million bail with two sureties of similar amount, in a case where he has been accused of killing a Kenyan woman on June 5, in Karen.

The court has also ordered Alden to surrender his passport and report to the police every fortnight.

He has since denied killing 42 year-old Grace Kinyanjui, who he claimed was playing with his gun when she accidentally shot herself.

Detectives however doubted the narrative since the woman had other body injuries and fractured fingers.

Police were called by medical attendants from Karen Hospital, after the 53 year-old man took the body of the woman there, claiming she had killed herself.
