NAIROBI, Kenya, May 5 – The woman found trapped alive under the rubble of the collapsed building in Huruma was rescued on Thursday afternoon and rushed to hospital.
She was rescued in a delicate operation undertaken by the military with the help of police and Kenya Red Cross personnel.
Eighty people are still reported missing while 136 have been rescued so far, with hopes of pulling out more alive.
The rescuers extended the search to the Nairobi River where people are thought to have drowned while escaping from the falling building.
