, MACHAKOS, Kenya, May 18 – Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has said President Kenyatta’s visit to Machakos on June 10 will be a game changer in terms of development.

He said President Kenyatta will commission various development projects which he added were of great importance to the residents of Machakos.

“I welcome the visit and assure the President that the people and leaders of my county are grateful for the gesture,” said Mutua in a statement issued by his Press Secretary and Communications Director Mutinda Mwanzia.

Mutua said by picking Machakos as his first stop during his four day tour of Ukambani, President Kenyatta had shown his desire to experience the development strides achieved by the county due to devolution.

The Head of State will also tour Makueni and Kitui counties.

Mutua said the county and national government were working cordially to ensure that projects initiated are completed.
