Take part in politics, Governor Mutua urges the youth

Ndile and Munyaka said Mutua was a progressive leader who was driven by the desire to improve the lives of his people.

Munyaka said the recent trip to State House by Ukambani leaders led by Mutua had borne fruits since over 200,000 title deeds had been issued to locals.

He said the Machakos University College will also receive a charter upgrading the institution to full university status.

Ndile tore into leaders from the region who were fighting Mutua saying they did not deserve political positions and should be rejected come 2017.

He said time for politics of development was now adding that Mutua had the potential of initiating transformative leadership in the region.

Mutua reiterated he was not interested in becoming a regional political king saying his desire was to see that Ukambani regained its political and economic glory.

“Those saying that I am dividing the Kamba community are playing opportunistic politics and will be swept aside by the political tsunami of change that is spearheaded by the Maendeleo Chap Chap movement,” said Mutua.

He said the movement will trigger a paradigm shift in the political landscape in Ukambani through the initiation of programs that are people driven.
