According to the Kenya Network of Cancer Organisations, ‘cancer is the 3rd highest cause of morbidity in Kenya (7pc of deaths per year), after infectious diseases and cardiovascular diseases.’
The report estimates that in Kenya alone, there are 39,000 new cancer cases and more than 27,000 deaths per year.
