, NAIROBI, Kenya, May 31 – CORD leaders Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula on Tuesday held a meeting at State House, Nairobi with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Sources in State House say the two were called Tuesday afternoon for talks with President Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto and prior to that were part of a luncheon hosted in honour of visiting South Korean President Park Geun-hye.

The talks come amid an impasse over the fate of Commissioners at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

CORD had vowed to go ahead with a meeting at Uhuru Park grounds Wednesday despite a police directive banning the rally.
