It includes ways of mitigating the effects of excessive drought, ways of helping the affected communities and give recommendations to the government on the appropriate steps to take.
“So basically, we are the organization mandated to provide leadership and coordination of Kenya’s effort in the management of drought risks and enhancing adaptation to climate change,” he says.
As far as sourcing funds for its various projects, the Authority is reliant on the National government and sponsors who include the various arms of the United Nations.
