NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 19 – Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has applied for more time to produce certification for the documents in Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu’s academic papers case.
Kabogo was to file his replying affidavit to Waititu’s objection to claims that his academic papers are fake.
Kabogo and Waititu are embroiled in a suit in which the Kiambu Governor claims the legislator forged educational documents to vie for his position.
Waititu however denied the allegations and has instead accused Kabogo of being out to destroy his political career, insisting he is prepared to go to any lengths to prove he went to school properly.

The Kabete Member of Parliament accused Kabogo of forging the papers and had filed in court a document from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) verifying that he did not sit for his CPE in 1975 at Mbagathi Primary school as alleged by Kabogo.
According to the document, the CPE examination code for the said primary school in 1975 was 41004 and not 52019 which belonged to Chemasingi Primary School.
The controversial legislator in response to Kabogo’s case has also clarified that he sat for his CPE in 1977 at Munro Primary School.
Waititu further filed KNEC certificates showing that he sat for his KJSE and O levels at Ruiru and Dagoretti High School respectively.
Before he joined Punjab University in 1985, Waititu contended that obtained an A level certificate from the Kenya Polytechnic where he studied for about two years.
