NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 21 – Attorney General Githu Muigai was on Thursday morning expected to confirm Kenya’s position on its relations with the International Criminal Court (ICC).
President Uhuru Kenyatta while addressing a rally in Nakuru a week ago said no Kenyan will be subjected to the ICC process.
His remarks came as ICC made fresh demands for three Kenyans wanted over alleged witness interference to be handed over to The Hague based court.
Kenya has also been a strong voice in the Africa Union’s push for mass withdrawal from the Rome Statute.
Last week, AU outlined five issues that it wants amended in the Rome Statute failure to which, it will continue with its push for collective withdrawal of African member states.
