NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 3 – The Ministry of Education has invited high School certificate holders wishing to join teaching profession to apply for Primary Teacher’s pre-service training for the year 2016.

The prospective P1 teachers must have attained a mean grade of C in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.

“Visually, and hearing impaired and totally deaf and totally blind applicants should have attained a mean grade of C- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations,” reads a statement from the ministry.

“Applicants are urged register in all zonal education offices.”

Applicants are required to submit filled registration form, with appropriate certificates and personal documents to the zonal education offices between 11th and 29th of April.

According to the ministry education officials, “after a final selection the successful candidates will have their admission letters dispatched to the zonal offices. The selection is free of charge.”

Applicants can download registration forms from the Ministry’s website www.education.go.ke .
