Time to give street families a chance, not judge

“We are all human. Let us not judge the street families before we listen to their tales,” she appeals.

The street families are always flushed out of the city mostly during major events and visits by world leaders like US President Barrack Obama last year.

Just like Morris Mwenda, a 15 year-old boy recently rescued from the streets says, just like any other person, street children need a second chance.

“My message to the public is that in the streets we have talented people, and we have those who have knowledge, but what they are lacking is something called opportunity,” he says.

The big question remains, how soon will authorities and the society rise to the occasion and address their challenges?
