NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 29 – Two Co-operative University college students died and 33 others injured on Monday afternoon after a Rongai mini-bus they had hired for campaigns at the Karen campus overturned.
Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome says the injured were rushed to various hospitals within the city.
He says the public service vehicle had been overloaded.
“Some students were hanging dangerously on the vehicle’s rooftop and others were crammed at the door,” he said.
Kenya National Hospital received 9 students with two critically injured according to Deputy Director of Communications Kibet Mengich.
