Migori County Police Commander David Kirui says the cause of the officer’s death still remains unknown.
Kirui says he received a call that the OCPD was seriously ill and rushed him to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He says the officer had no signs of sickness and could not immediately say the cause of his death.
Kirui reported that he had supper Tuesday night in the company of the deceased and he was in a jovial mood.
Briefing reporters at Migori Level Four hospital, Kirui says the matter is now a police case, and explained that a post-mortem examination will reveal the cause of death.
The officer’s body is lying at the hospital mortuary.
