Kenyan police repulse Shabaab attackers in Kiunga

Police believe many of the militias involved in the attack suffered injuries and are still hiding in the forest/FILE

Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet said the terrorists fled to the forest with injuries.

“A major security operation is underway in the area,” he said.

There were no police casualties reported.

“There were no injuries on the side of the police but we believe many of them suffered very serious injuries and some could even be dead,” he told Capital FM News on the telephone.
