MANYANI, Kenya, Dec 8 – A driver has been burnt to death in road accident in Manyani, on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

Police say a petrol tanker collided head-on with two trucks and exploded on impact.

Coast Traffic Commandant Martin Kariuki said three people including the other two drivers and a loader escaped with minor injuries.

Elsewhere, four people were killed in an accident that occurred on the Kisumu-Busia Road on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the accident occurred when a matatu collided with a truck at Rangala area.

The matatu is said to have been overtaking when it collided with the truck, killing the four instantly including the driver of the matatu.

Nine other passengers are admitted to hospital with injuries.
