NAIROBI, Kenya Dec 11 – The Appeals Court has quashed the Senate decision to impeach Embu Governor Wambora.
In the ruling delivered on Friday morning, the appellate judges said the High Court had also erred in failing to establish the impeachment threshold.
Wambora had moved to the appellate court after the High Court upheld the senate decision sending him home.
But with new ruling, Wambora has a legal basis to remain in office for the remainder of his five year term ending in 2017.
