Led by the US ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec and the United Kingdom High Commissioner Christian Turner, the envoys said the move will help rebuild the diminished public trust in the electoral body.
Others include Australian High Commissioner John Feakes, Canadian High Commissioner David Angell, European Union Ambassador Stefano-Antonio Dejak, Finland Ambassador Tarja Fernández, France Ambassador Remi Marechaux, Germany Ambassador Jutta Frasch, Norway Ambassador Victor Rønneberg and Sweden Ambassador Johan Borgstam.

The envoys also called for widespread voter registration to ensure the right to vote among all groups of society.
Among the issues discussed include the need to strengthen the capacity of IEBC in a bid to ensure 2017 elections are free, fair, peaceful and transparent.
“We noted the publication of the IEBC’s Strategic Plan 2015-2020 in July 2015 and looked forward to early publication of the Operational Plan for 2017 Elections,” the statement reads.
“We agreed on the importance of rebuilding of public trust through proactive and effective public engagement and communication.”
