The President also nominated Dabar Abdi Maalim, Paul Mwaniki Gachoka, Sophia Lepuchirit and Rose Mghoi Mtambo Macharia as members of the anti-graft body.
The names of the nominees have been forwarded to the National Assembly for consideration.
The Chairperson’s position was left vacant after Mumo Matemu resigned on May 12 following his suspension and formation of a commission of inquiry to investigate his conduct together with his deputy Irene Keino.
Matemu was set to face a Commission of Inquiry investigating allegations of corruption and abuse of office against him and Keino after Parliament approved a petition that sought their removal from office.
One of the Commissioner’s Jane Onsongo had resigned earlier, even before the National Assembly had debated a motion on the commissioners’ suitability to serve.
The nomination comes after the President announced new measures to fight the corruption menace in the country.
During her resignation, Keino claimed that the EACC commissioners were being forced to leave office unceremoniously to cover up for the sensitive Anglo Leasing case and investigations they were finalizing on the infamous Karen land grabbing estimated at Sh8 billion.
