KIAMBU, Kenya, Nov 1 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured Kenyans that the economy is strong and there is no cause for alarm.

Contrary to claims by critics, the Head of State said ‘’Kenya is okay’’ and told critics that the freedom of speech is a constitutional right.

President Kenyatta told the opposition that they are free to criticise the Government as the freedom of expression is guaranteed by the Constitution.

He, however, told Kenyans to ignore the noise and continue to work hard and make Kenya a better place for all.

The President spoke at Our Lady of Rosary Catholic Church in Ridgeways, Kiambu County, where he joined worshippers for Sunday mass.

He encouraged Kenyans to work together, saying that unity of purpose will move the country to the next level of development.

President Kenyatta congratulated the members of the church for their effort in building a great shrine.

Bishop Albert Rotich celebrated the mass.
