Gigiri Police Chief Vitalis Otieno told Capital Fm News it was suspected that the 26-year-old teacher raped the girl last Wednesday.
NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 13 – Police have arrested a teacher suspected of raping a form one student at Highridge Secondary School in Nairobi.
The mother of the 15 year-old girl has told Capital FM News that she was recording a statement at the Nairobi Area Police Station following the incident.
Gigiri Police Chief Vitalis Otieno told Capital Fm News it was suspected that the 26-year-old teacher raped the girl last Wednesday.
However, the school administration failed to report the matter on the material day or 24 hours after the incident occurred.
Otieno says the suspect is currently undergoing medical tests which will be presented in court as evidence.
