In a strongly worded statement, Musyoka accused the government of laxity and engaging in a witch-hunt in tackling corruption.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta lacks the courage to name the fat cats. When a President is held hostage by an evil cabal of corruption cartels, the outcome would make Anglo Leasing and Goldenberg look like child play,” Musyoka claimed.
He singled out Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru who he said should step aside over corruption allegations in relation to the National Youth Service (NYS).
During the press briefing where he mostly tore down the Jubilee regime, Musyoka took time to take on his rival, Deputy President William Ruto.
Though he said Ruto was undeserving of his response, he said the Deputy President should worry more about his ‘personal baggage’ than advising CORD on the 2017 General Election.
“It will be a waste of precious time trying to respond to my Deputy President William Ruto’s unsolicited advise to CORD principal on our winning formula; suffice say my friend Ruto has enough personal baggage to grapple with and if appointing himself political advisor to CORD Principals would give him some measure of comic relief then let the self declared hustler be,” Musyoka said.
Musyoka further downplayed the President’s recent award in which he was voted Africa’s President of the Year 2014/2015 for his outstanding leadership.

Musyoka dismissed it as “a mere award given by a group of students.”
According to the former VP, the government has failed in its leadership and even the investors that chose to invest in Kenya only do it ‘because of the resilience of the Kenyan people.”
