“We need to find resources for strong women who are going to be contesting in the next election and support them. We supported Joyce Laboso and Naomi Shaban. We used to give every strong woman one million shillings,” she said.
She further urged Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi not to oversee the debate on the gender rule when it comes to the floor of the House saying he had already expressed an opinion which could be biased.

Daisy Amdany the executive director of the Community Advocacy and Awareness (CRAWN) Trust urged the jubilee government to ensure it fulfilled its promise of ensuring the two-thirds gender rule was met.
“If we are not ashamed as Kenyans to have a legislature that is seeking to deny us our right, then there is a problem,” she said.
