The Kwale Governor lamented that due to poor finding to counties, some of the priority areas were not receiving enough funds further calling on the foundations to boost them in the specific areas, while promising to use the funds prudently.
“We are very committed to make sure that whatever decision we make to work together, we will be able to implement and meet our part of the partnership bargain,” he said.
During the just completed Devolution conference where the gains of devolution were celebrated, many noted the improvement in service delivery but also noted that several issues that were impediments to devolution were dealt with.
Among the resolutions were improving of inter-governmental relations, and reduction of wrangles between the two houses of Parliament, county assemblies and executive officers and also between governors and their deputies.
