NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 3 – EACC detectives were deployed Tuesday to the residence of one of the Anglo Leasing suspects, Deepak Kamani.

The officers went to the residence in Kyuna mid Tuesday morning but it remained unclear if Kamani was in or not.

Kamani is one of the businessmen recommended for prosecution by DPP Keriako Tobiko over the multi-billion Anglo Leasing scandal.

Others being sought in the case are former Cabinet Minister and Permanent Secretaries.

Tobiko has recommended the arrest and prosecution of 13 powerful individuals and three firms associated with the scam.

Capital News has since established that some of those to be prosecuted were detained briefly by EACC detectives yesterday before they were freed on bond to appear in court tomorrow or Thursday.
