The officers were arrested in Salgaa by Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives during a sting operation conducted on Thursday morning.
EACC Spokesman Yassin Amaro says they recovered Sh4,700 from the officers, including some treated money given to motorists by the detectives.
“The officers were found with money some of which came from our inventory that had been given to cooperating Public Service Vehicle operators,” he said.
The officers will be taken to court Friday to face corruption-related charges.
The arrests follows a similar operation in October last year where 10 traffic police officers were have arrested in one of the biggest sting operations against law enforcers by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
The officers were arrested at three police checks in Nakuru.
The EACC officials set up hidden cameras that captured the errant police officers in the act at Kiti, Eveready and Shiners check points.
