MOMBASA, Kenya, Feb 19 – Four people died on Thursday morning while two others were seriously injured following a road accident in Mombasa County.
The accident involving a matatu and a truck occurred at Jomvu, according to police.
“It happened when a matatu rammed a stationary truck,” Mombasa police chief Robert Kitur told Capital FM News.
He said the matatu driver was being sought after fleeing the scene soon after the accident. His conductor was among the dead.
The matatu was heading to Mazeras from Mombasa Island.
