Kamama who spoke to journalists on Thursday after recording a statement with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) says he has forgiven Keter after suggesting he tried to influence the release of a detained truck.
“I have a forgiving heart, and he should also follow suit by also apologising because of the language that he used,” Kamama said. “He may have had some justified cause to fight corruption.”
Keter while threatening officers at the Gilgil weighbridge dropped many names including that of Kamama and State House Comptroller Lawrence Lenayapa.
“You are waiting to hear from who? God? …Jesus Christ to call you?” Keter had asked.
Kamama however distanced himself from the allegations saying though they had met in Naivasha during the Jubilee legislators retreat, the MP did not make such a request.
“I did not call any officer of whichever rank and even my friend Hon. Keter did not make such a request…how else would I have made a call to the officers?” he posed.
“I did not even know their phone numbers or the private company clearing vehicles. I deny that I ever made such a statement.”
Earlier in the day, Lenayapa recorded a statement at the EACC offices.

Lenayapa met EACC detectives between 9am and 10am Thursday, after which he left without addressing journalists.
The State House administrator was summoned alongside Kamama and Nakuru County Commissioner Osman Warfa.
Kamama however said true to Keter’s word, there are massive cases of corruption in all weighbridges in the country saying the commission should investigate and prosecute the culprits.

“They (weighbridges) are a den of corruption… I have proposed to that we investigate since it’s so massive. All officers will always make request to go to those places,” he said.
“Some of them are not ready to be promoted because they don’t want to leave those areas.”
He said some punitive measures in the Traffic Act also encourage corruption saying they should be reviewed.
The matter exploded after a video clip went viral on social media on January 25, in which Keter was seen at the Gilgil weighbridge demanding the police release a detained vehicle. He was accompanied by URP nominated MP Sunjeev Birdi.
