His good work in reforming the university will be remembered in the history of this institution. I wish him the very best in the pursuit of other endeavours in nation building,” she stated.
The Government on Monday appointed Professor Peter Mbithi the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi.
Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi said Mbithi will be accountable and responsible for matters relating to the mandate of the council.
The appointment was contained in a letter dated December 1, 2014 signed by Professor Kaimenyi.
