KAKAMEGA, Kenya, Dec 17 – Six people have been confirmed dead following a domestic quarrel after an Administration Police officer opened fire on his colleagues before turning the gun on himself in Butere.
The AP officer attached to the Shiatsala AP Camp was on night duty returned to his house at around 8.30pm after he heard a commotion.
Upon arrival the officer reportedly found his wife quarrelling with four other AP officers and after some argument he opened fire killing the four on the spot.
The fifth person, a civilian who is the husband to one of the female AP officers was also shot dead after he rushed to scene.
The Administration Police officer then shot himself.
The bodies were taken to Kakamega Provincial Hospital mortuary.
